All courses will be offered at the Milwaukee campus. Attendance is required for all class meeting dates to earn credit.

Google for Education – Free Online Conference May 8th & 9th

Google for Education will be providing a free online conference for educators to learn about trends, issues, and best practices in teaching with cutting edge technologies on Friday May 8th and Saturday May 9th.

Education on Air

Keynote speakers include LeVar Burton, Sir Michael Barber, Lisa Bodell, and many other experts in innovative education. A variety of training sessions facilitated by expert educators in the use of technology for teaching, learning, and assessment will be provided by on day two of the conference.

Google new “Add-on” feature!

Google Docs and Sheets now include third-party add-ons!

Add-ons include:
Merge by MailChimp, Avery Label merge, EasyBib Bibliography Creator, Table of Contents, eSign by Seamless Docs and many more… These add-ons are free to download to your Google Docs or sheets.

These Add-ons allow users to sign documents, create customized email templates or make name tags from within documents and spreadsheets.

The web giant has tagged these apps as ‘add-ons’, which are now available to Google Drive users in Docs and Sheets, the free online word-processing and spreadsheet services.

Getting Started with Google Apps – Information Sessions

Getting Started with Google Apps

 

Faculty who need a basic overview of using their MATC Google Apps are invited to attend one of two “Getting Started with Google Apps” info-sessions on February 20th, 2014.  

In these 45- minute informational sessions, you will learn how to:

  • Locate and identify Google Apps when logged into your MATC e-mail account.
  • Use Gmail, Calendar, and Google Docs for productivity, communication, and collaboration.
  • Identify resources available to assist you in using Google Apps and where to learn more.
