Winter Blackboard Upgrade Coming Soon!

MATC will be upgrading to Blackboard Learn 9.1, service pack April Release 2014 on December 30th through January 1st.  Please note that Blackboard will become unavailable to faculty and students starting December 30th 12:01 AM CST and remain unavailable until January 2nd (unless otherwise communicated).

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO TO PREPARE?
As a part of the “end of semester” best practices, we strongly recommend that faculty perform the following tasks before the upgrade on December 30th:

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR SAFEASSIGN USERS
Please be aware that with the upgrade, the SafeAssign feature will be integrated with Blackboard Assignments and will no longer be a separate content type. To prepare for this integration, please delay adding SafeAssignments to your spring 2015 courses until the upgrade is complete on January 2nd.

WIDS DEMONSTRATION & DROP IN SESSIONS

Want to learn about the new WIDS to web software? We will be offering  demonstration classes in the telepresence rooms in the upcoming months.
Drop In Sessions posted below.

This demonstration is a showcase for the new web-based WIDS software. Covered in the session will be WIDS software improvements, common terms, roles and statuses, course creation/modification process, approval process, and a tour of the software itself. Individuals attending should have prior experience creating a Course Outcome Summary (COS).

The telepresence rooms are located in the following campuses along with the support staff names and numbers.

WIDS Drop-In Sessions

WIDS drop-in sessions to provide one-on-one help to individuals using the new web-based WIDS software work through any problems you are encountering. Individuals attending should have prior experience creating a Course Outcome Summary (COS). The sessions will be held at the Milwaukee Faculty Innovation Center M201.
